Autumn in Loxley Valley

Autumn in Loxley Valley

A real sense of Autumn, all the trees are turning, mostly beech and alder. I felt like miles from my house, however I believe it to be less than 2. The tree has an interesting trunk, and I like the the way the branches stretched out almost Tolkien – an Ent with a look of surprise. At this point I wish I had bracketed this image and could do more in HDR merge. Alas not to be. This location is over the bridge opposite the mill and a path ascends near by.
