Little Waterfall at Oaken Clough

Little Waterfall at Oaken Clough

Landscape Photography

Oaken Clough

As my favourite technique is long exposure, another scene arose after climbing out the ravine to the fording point and this little gem appeared to my delight.

The brown colour of the water is due to the peat tannins that are washed into the waters from rainfall and snow melt.

The long exposure has captured a couple of eddy swirls. For this scene I opted for the landscape wide-angle to bring the rocks and heather into framing the cascade.
