Monochrome Sunset

Damflask Monochrome Sunset

The light was fading fast and I just had to get another shot in and hoping to get a long exposure, well that did not work. As it was getting darker by the minute, what was being recorded was also getting darker; oh pooh what a waste of 8 minutes. Lucky for me, I took some shots without the filter and this one was a whopping 1.3 second exposure. There was a huge purple cast and lots of red colour. The colour edit did not work for me personally. I went for the Ansell Adams technique and played around in CS6. I like this technique a lot, I often refer to a tutorial in Digital Camera edition 147. My only concern with this image is the noise. I used the Gaussian blur to help. I just hope when or if it gets printed that it does not affect it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today 🙂
