Roots Exposed

As I ascend the path in Beacon Woods, which I have no idea where it is going to lead me, a sense of adventure, however I suspect I was heading towards Stannington. I spotted these charming roots and get this picture only a wide angle would do, I still had to stand beyond the handrail close to the edge of  cliff…

These I did a HDR merge in Photomatix Pro. I have not used in a while and took my ages to find the plugin from Lightroom 4..doh!

I wanted to capture a sinister feel from the roots from a beech tree, reaching out like wriggling worms or creepy wisteria.
