Rivelin Falls in Autumn
Rivelin Valley Falls are situated along the River Rivelin and can be traversed by a man-made crossing. A very slippery crossing. I had slipped almost crashing my camera bag and just saved it from a total soaking; my tripod just about save me from a going all the way in. I got a my leg dunked and a bruise. I do believe in working for my art but this was the closest I have been to a disaster.
The river was in decent flow and there are several falls flowing over the weirs. It is quite difficult to describe its exact location however if you go just beyond Third Coppice wheel, the foot path then crosses over a pool and step stones which also run into this water fall. I edited in Lightroom 4 and Colour Efex Pro to enhance the autumnal colours. I used my Lee Big Stopper with a circular polariser for the exposure at which the time took was 10 minutes at F11.
