Misty Hornsea Groyne
Another groyne of quite few along the Holderness coast of East Riding of Yorkshire. We had a battle with the weather here. It was closing; the mist came and the tide was coming in which was good timing for me. The bracing posts were an ideal foreground point of interest, ideal rule of thirds used here, with the diagonal line of the groyne sea defence leading to the centre post, managing to keep the horizon about 2 thirds of the way up. I exposed the sensor for 6 minutes and happy to say the whites did not blow out. I could not find a happy medium in Lightroom to edit, so I went to Silver Efex Pro 2, used a high key setting. I further edited in CS6 for a high pass filter and then back into Lightroom for some finishing touches.
