Babbling Wyming Brook

Babbling Wyming Brook

Landscape Photography

Wyming Brook Nature Reserve

A follow-up from my winter photographs, which looked more autumnal, Wyming Brook waking up to spring time. After recent rainfall, and we hit a little break in the weather. The brook was in reasonable good flow. A little more than just a babbling brook. The long exposure creates the slowing of the brook to what may seem babbling. The ferns, alder trees and the rocks frame its path adding foreground interest.

This nature reserve is a conduit between Redmires Reservoirs and the Rivelin Dams, just outside Sheffield in the Peak district.

A polariser was used as a filter to aid the long exposure.
