Wyming Brook In Spring

Wyming Brook In Spring

Landscape Photography

Wyning Brook Nature Reserve

A follow-up from my winter photographs, which looked more autumnal, Wyming Brook waking up to spring time. The Alder trees where tipped with light, and for me they draw you into the wood, into the centre of the image. The pool of water in front of the small fall an eddy formed in this 4 second exposure. This pool and the little rocks add foreground leaving you to meander the path of the brook. I won’t apologise for my watermark, however they are not printed when sold on Photo4Me or Redbubble.

This nature reserve is a conduit between Redmires Reservoirs and the Rivelin Dams, just outside Sheffield in the Peak district.

A polariser was used as a filter to aid the long exposure.
